Education Workshops
At least twice a year the Committee and Board members organize an educational workshop, to raise awareness about current environmental problems or issues within the profession. Speakers from all over the state, and sometimes the Nation, are brought in to present on items such as their current research, outbreaks, immerging infectious diseases, new septic system designs, soil and water quality research, emergency response, and many other topics.
Each year at the fall educational session, the Annual VEHA Business meeting is held, along with the swearing in of new Officers. VEHA understands that all environmental health professionals are extremely busy, and cannot always make the trip to attend these workshops. So, VEHA tries to accommodate this by hosting the spring workshop in different locations around the Commonwealth.
If you would like to volunteer on the committee, or have suggestions as to a topic or a venue for future educational workshops, please contact the Board at veha.board@hotmail.com
