Spring Workshop
Will be held in Blacksburg on Friday April 7th
Location contact information – Eric to give to David and Preston
Book meeting room and check on price of food- David to do
Make a list of surrounding restaurants in the area for lunch- Preston to do ??? Maybe Cecil instead since he lives out that way ….
Work out CEU coordination- Unassigned
Identify and contact various vendors in area- - /Amyto do????
Advertising of Conference- via email distribution lists, membership lists, other professional organizations
Speaker ideas and contacts listed- Everyone to mail any ideas not listed here to David

Awards – Certificate of Merit and EH Professional of the Year
Award Committee creation was discussed, and Cecil was identified as the new chair who will be involved on coordination of committee but not judging the winner.
Applications for awards must be passed out by July
Contact Bill Perry and Guerry to find out who were the last nominated EH Professional winners- David to do and pass this info to Cecil
Contact all previous winners and coordinate committee- Cecil to do
Gather all VEHA member list – Amy to get with Rich Flannery

Fall Workshop
Will be held in Charlottesville at the Monticello Center-
David to contact about date availability
This is to be a co-sponsored event with both CASA and NCAEHA
Dates for workshop are either Friday 10/13/06 the primary date, or Friday 10/20/06

Monetary commitment for other organizations might be based on % of attendance or income generated might be split.
Perhaps a discount for joining all three organizations at one time.

News Letter
Winter Letter never went out- Rich only received 2 articles
Mass call for articles from all members – Amy to get Cecil the distribution list
Cecil in charge of harassing every board member about articles
Everyone to submit at least two articles to Cecil and Rich F. by next meeting
Legalities of summarizing NEHA articles? – Richard M. to contact Bob
Articles can be solicited from students

Sam’s Club has a good program embroidering shirts, hats, etc. with VEHA logo

Appears to be about 10K in the bank
Board approved the purchase of a software program to compile all data and for record keeping purposes.
Annual audit of account will be conducted yearly by at least two people, and results will be submitted to the board for review.

Group Picture was taken – Richard M. to get to Amy so it can be put on website
Website Review scheduled for working board meeting
Everyone to review the current website and bring a list of suggestions to the next meeting.
