VEHA Board Meeting - 8/22/08

Treasurer Report:

Treasurer report and updated membership list needed for fall training event (David to contact Angela).

Fall Training:

VEHA will cosponsor training with NCAP. Preston reserved the auditorium and meeting room in the Manassas Community College. Proposed agenda includes general presentations in the morning portion, lunch “on your own,” and two separate tracks options in the afternoon. 

There is not a pre-registration option for this event, $20 (members) $25 (non-members), and $10 (half-day training for exam REHS takers). CEUs available through ODU. 

VEHA and NCAP will offer the opportunity to take the REHS exam during the fall training. Catherine is working with a representative from NCAP concerning exam issues; no test site fee required. Test-takers must pre-register with NEHA by 9/30/08. Test candidates must provide admission ticket, ID, etc upon arrival.  Catherine and Bob Custard will proctor exam. Opportunity to take the CPSF exam as well. Pre-registration is required through NEHA.

Other Business:

NEHA is considering Washington, DC as a possible site for the 2011 conference.  VEHA and NCAP to draft letters of support.
