RICHARD MICHELBACK
Richard is originally from Long Island, NY. After graduating high school, he served as a cook and food inspector in the United States Marine Corps. After being honorably discharged from military service, Richard attended George Mason University on an athletic scholarship, and graduated with a degree in biology in 1994. He spent 5 years with the Fairfax County Health Department serving as an Environmental Health Specialist. For the past 7 years he has been working at the Alexandria Health Department as an Environmental Health Technical Specialist.
Richard lives in Alexandria and he has been on the board for several years. He is an avid golfer and enjoys playing guitar. He is a member of the National Environmental Health Association, a Registered Environmental Health Specialist (NEHA), a Certified Food Safety Professional (NEHA), a licensed Lead-Based Paint Risk Assessor, and an FDA-Certified Food Program Inspection/Training Officer. |
